A good lead is when it's interesting and maybe even asks a question, so the reader would want to find the answer. Also descriptive words and Quotations.
a good lead is when you sometimes have a person or thing talking then you leave it so that they want to read more of it or one where they start at the next thing the go back like...
Katie went to the store and a puppy came home with me.
